The Leopoldsberg was settled already in the Neolithic Age. Later, he was one of the watch and defense stations of the Celts and the Romans. Until the end of the 17th century he was called "Kahlenberg". Admits is the legend, that of the margravine Agnes, the wife of Leopold III. the saint says: A gust of wind would have blown her veil from the Babenberg Castle on the Leopoldsberg to the spot where the Klosterneuburg Abbey was later built. However, until about 1288 there was only a simple waiting room on the mountain. Only Duke Albrecht was able to retreat to a "castle" when the Viennese rehearsed an uprising against him.

Fewer people than on Kahlenberg. Interesting view (because of the perspective).

The Leopoldsberg is a 425 meter high hill in the 19th district of Vienna, Döbling, and the northeasternmost foothills of the Vienna Woods and thus the main Alpine ridge. The buildings on the Leopoldsberg are under monument protection and have also been designated as a structural protection zone by the City of Vienna. Wikipedia
