June 3, 2025,Wertheim-Urphar-Lengfurt-Triefenstein-Kreuzwertheim-#Mainschleife & Bettingbergtunnel #ADFC Main-Tauber (03.06.25F)
The pre-ride for the ADFC tour in August was a bit difficult at times. I felt like a bus grazed me along the way. No, without drugs and not in a tunnel, but while stopping for a particularly nice photo opportunity, my horse threw me. I then chatted with the bats as potential victims, but that only helped a little. …

The west portal of the Bettingberg tunnel is currently closed. The east portal is open. You can walk in the tunnel on the gravel path of the old railway line to the wall (after about 250 - 300m), then through a door. Now comes the asphalt part of the tunnel to the west portal. (No exit!!!) You have to go …

Small weekend trip to the Main. First cycled almost flat in the Main valley from Bettingen to Wertheim. The old town is always worth a visit and, unlike in recent years, it was lively again. After the steep ascent to the castle, you can enjoy a fantastic view over the city and the Main valley as well as a refreshing …

Nice and always close to the Main.
Particularly small, steep wine-growing area of Kallmuth in the Kalkgirge and decorative cement works
Almost a gorge between Spessart and Odenwald.
In Wertheim, no more headwind and showers. So take the RE88 to the destination near Miltenberg. The latter places …

Today we cycled along the Main from Marktheidenfeld to Kreuzwertheim to see the historical museum "Pressackscheune", where we may present part of our work on September 1st, the spinning of wool and linen. The museum is a foundation and is kept alive with a lot of love so that the "old times" are not forgotten.

Great tour along the Main. We took the MSP Sprinter (bus) back to Trennfeld. Super ride with a stop for Ice Cream in Wertheim!
By bike from Bettingen to Wertheim at night. In Wertheim, hike to the castle and over the hill back down to the Main. To get to the castle and several meters further up, it's quite steep, partly over steps.
As a reward, there's a delicious ice cream right at the town hall market.
