Great route on the old disused railway line. Some old discarded train stations can still be found.

A beautifully developed cycle path on the former railway line with varied tunnel rides and always downhill!

Attention: the ascent to Riten, which we chose, is not really drivable.

Unfortunately, I had to choose between a 5-year-old and my bike. I lost both my bike and my arm. For that, I can recommend the hospital in Brixen.

Charming towns along the way. In Klausen, decorations made of bicycle elements are everywhere. The route follows a well-marked bicycle path. Bridges, tunnels (and in them moments of respite from the heat). Views of the Eisack River, nearby castles and churches, apple orchards and vineyards, and impressive road constructions. The path runs along the road, sometimes below, and even above.

The next day also awaited us with sunny weather. From Brixen we went on the well-developed bike path to Chiusa. Säben Abbey towered high above Klausen. We continued along the Eisack. I then pushed my bike through the crowds, but that was absolutely no fun.
So out of Brixen and back to Bozen. 🙈🚴‍♀️🍦

Day 1: Here we are again. From Brixen to Bolzano. Today in bright sunshine a very easy first stage. From tomorrow the tour will be new territory for us.
