A new entry in the category "Friday Tours" 🤗 This time it went without any significant climbs to my hometown Telgte and to the idyllically situated Haus Langen. On the way there, often along the Ems, and back with ever-improving weather, northwards and almost entirely through deserted nature back again

A May 2nd hike in the vast, atmospheric Hille moor plus a detour to the idyllic Mittellandkanal. All this against the backdrop of the Wiehengebirge in the background, where there was then the cake reward in the quaint café Waldkristall 🥾🌞🌻🍰

Sometimes things don't go as planned, actually May 1st is exactly the day when I/we don't get on the bike. However, since a joint tour unfortunately didn't work out, I bravely threw myself into the hustle and bustle of party people and uncertain holiday pensioners - although I wish everyone their respective

And we keep pedaling diligently - this time into May on the tracks of the Hermannslauf :) With the Sparrenburg, the Eiserner Anton, the Tönsberg etc., there were some sections that were also used by the diligent runners/hikers last Sunday. One could still recognize various route markings.

An after-work gravel ride with over 1000 meters of elevation gain in the north of the Gütersloh district to the large Egge and then via Schloss Brincke, Kirchdornberg and Patthorster Wald back home. All this under a cloudless sky and with the best views ⛰️🌞✨🚴

Actually, a completely different route was planned for today, but due to adverse circumstances (get well soon!) I ended up going alone. The chosen tour was coincidentally an "homage" to the "Hermannslauf" which was also taking place today 🏃🌞
The 4 big "H's" of this extremely sunny and varied round were

A very scenic loop on Saturday, which combines the Terra Track Zillertal with a few other trails and offers many beautiful views of the hilly Osnabrücker Land⛰️🌞 Everything the average hiker could wish for: horses, alpacas, quaint farmhouses, metal sculptures, the well-frequented Gasthof Zittertal

Today's after-work round led east through diverse beautiful and varied natural areas - and in dream weather. First through the Holter Wald, over the Furlbachtal into the Senne (Augustdorfer Dünenfeld/ Wistinghauser Senne), sweat-inducingly up to the Tönsberg and then via Oerlinghausen back home and into

Right after work, I hopped on my bike, and then we went over Steinhagen into the Teuto, basically a full loop around the Große Egge and on into the Werther surroundings as far as Häger, the "last bastion" of the Gütersloh district :) On the way back, we passed the Böckstiegel Museum to Kirchdornberg

What could be better on a sunny Mother's Day than a pleasant tour to Stromberg for apple or cheesecake at Café Heinrichs? 🚴🌞🍰 I can't think of much, and otherwise there were a few surprising highlights on the route, such as a bunch of vintage cars on the 2026 edition of the Kolping Rallye Ostenland
