The zoo in Hanover-Kirchrode is a beautiful park (1.12 km²) with native wild animals. Originally created in the 17th century as a court hunting ground for the nobility,
From the very beginning it was designed for hunting from an aesthetic point of view. The fallow deer released in the park were primarily used to supply the farm with meat.
