Neuhaus (Oste) Historic Village Center

Highlight • Settlement

Wiebkes Klönstuv, the ultimate corner shop in Neuhaus (Oste), the town that somehow seems to have fallen out of time.
Delicious coffee and cake. In addition, all the news in town are discussed here 😉

A beautiful path directly along the Elbe: the mighty dyke on the left and the Elbe on the right. Ships that seem to come slowly pass surprisingly quickly. Migratory birds …

The Grimmershörnbucht with its crescent-shaped arch from the ferry port to the Kugelbake is perhaps the geographically most distinctive place in Cuxhaven. Beautiful.

June 17, 2022,Oste-Radweg - Tag 1 - Von Döse nach Cadenberge
Departure from the tourist town of Döse to Cuxhaven, then over the mouth of the Elbe to the Oste. You can get information about the (so far!) little-used insider tip "Osterradweg" from other places. I treated myself to a trip to the tea house in Ottendorf for a cup of coffee (ice cream and cake excellent, prices too, staff very …

We took the train from Cuxhaven to Wingst and there first climbed an 18% climb to the "German Olympus". How good that the rental bikes had electric support. Through the forest we went back down to Wingst and then via Cadenberge and Geversdorf (nice picnic area at the harbor) to Neuhaus/Oste, where we took a break on the sun terrace …

Hi,

today we traveled by train (DB) to Cuxhaven and then cycled to Cadenberge 🌞 in glorious weather.

From Cuxhaven train station, we rode to Duhnen, then on to the Kugelbake with a great break and a view of the surrounding nature.

Finally a longer tour.....
By car to Belum....small town before Cuxhaven.....(inaugurated the bike rack)
From there in the direction of Cuxhaven.....a very nice route...if the 🌬🌬🌬 hadn't come from the front.....
But the way back was all the faster and more pleasant....
😎🌞🥰

A highly recommended bike tour with interesting areas.

Since the Ostesperrwerk at Neuhaus is currently closed (due to construction work), the final stage "Along the Elbe" initially leads to the Oste. On the Elbe dyke, the view of the river becomes all the more impressive the closer the tour gets to the Elbe estuary.

Today we continue towards Cuxhaven. First we cycle to Gut Hörne. Directly behind it, you have to walk/drive across the farm, we find a village from the Middle Ages. Events also take place here at certain times. We want to cross the Oste at the barrier, but then... construction site🙈. So we head back, luckily with a tailwind and fast😃. …

From Geversdorf we first set off across the Oste to the Cafe Gut Hörne, where you can visit a completely hidden medieval village. We were supposed to continue over the Oste barrier, oh, it's closed, that probably only applies to cars. No way, they're building there and nobody can get over here, instead of a short stage it will be …
