Reschbach Valley

Highlight • River

The Reschbach was straightened and expanded for the Holztrift. The beaver is currently renaturing the Reschbach below the Reschbachklause by creating dams and dams the Reschbach to small lakes and a swamp area.

The refuge and the table / bench corner on the other side of the pool are ideal for a short break with a snack. You can also see traces of the local residents of the Reschbachklause along the basin ...

The forest has a pleasant atmosphere, beautiful light - somehow forests close to a Moor seem a little different.

Varied hike through beautiful landscapes. Nice family tour.

When the snow swallows the sounds,
When the sun itches your nose,
then it's still a holiday in Bavaria 🤩

Nice hike and also snowshoe tour.

A varied circular hike through a beautiful forest and natural landscape on easily accessible paths and narrow, sometimes stony-rooted trails. First along the Reschbach, then over the Siebensteinkopf and back through the Finsterauer Filz with moderate differences in altitude up and down.

From km 9.7 we took the "Igelbus" back to the parking lot.

On the road today with the dog Molly in the "Genusswandern" team. Very nice round through the wild Bavarian Forest. Away over narrow paths, sometimes very rocky and many roots. On the way back, we also hiked at times on the wide forest paths signposted as cycle paths. We both liked it 🥰

Winter camping in “Elsewhere Camp”😃

Unfortunately, the attempt to walk to the summit of the Siebensteinkopf failed shortly before the finish 😫
Hardened deep snow robbed me of my strength and, given the approaching dusk, I sensibly turned back.
I imagine it will be great around here in the spring.

The Wistlberg parking area will probably remain closed for years!
Well - it costs an additional 1km of walking - what the heck. Annoying right at the start and especially in drizzle!
