It is not worth simply driving past the Fichtelnaabradweg here. Great photo opportunity.

Today we are the Max Reger Rundweg in Brand/Obpf. Went. A very nice and varied tour. Of course we walked more than the round should be. Highly recommended.

In the last section along the "Fichtelnaab" you should only use the "adventure path" (despite mountain-suitable footwear) when there is no rain and without any physical restrictions !!!, 20 meters above there is a tarred path 😉
Overall, a very varied route, with only slightly demanding altitude variations.

On a cool autumn Saturday we hiked with our friend Karsten from Bayreuth on the Max-Reger-Weg near Brand (Opf.). It was a beautiful and varied route and we had a lot of time to chat along the way.
The route along the Gregnitz and later on the Fichtelnaab was particularly impressive. Shortly before the end we were able to look …

The signposted tour partly deviates from the gpx track on the Oberpfaelzerwald.de page. As a professional organist, I have a special bond with Max Reger.

The great weather lured us to the Fichtel Mountains today. We hiked the Max Reger circular trail, nearly 15km long. The final leg, in the Gregnitz Valley, was particularly idyllic. The stream and the many moss-covered rocks make this area a truly magical forest.

Beautiful round through the unspoilt and natural Gregnitztal and - Moor.
The Trinity Chapel in Grünberg is well worth seeing. The altarpiece is hand-carved by Gerhard Schinner from Ebnath.

After days of rain, finally a dry hiking day 😁 today we hike the Fichtelnaab and then the Gregnitztal from the mouth of the Fichtelnaab to the source.
A beautiful, wild river experience. It's just a shame that the photos don't show the area as the eyes see it.
This hike is really worth it. 😊
