From Oberstdorf steeply up to the Kühberg, from there a very beautiful, relatively easy but long asphalt path begins to the Oytalhaus. Then an unpaved, relatively flat path begins up …

October 28, 2024,CK Oberstdorf, Oytal, 2024🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️
In my opinion, the Oytal is the most beautiful and varied of the many valleys that you can explore by bike from Oberstdorf. Unfortunately, at this time of year, we had many sections in deep shade and the Gutenalpe and Käseralpe were already closed. The high valley in which the Käseralpe is located is an absolute highlight.
On the way …

Today, the last day, was supposed to be in the Oytal, with the option of continuing on to the Käse-Alm. The Oytal is actually very beautiful, but the paths aren't as good as in the other valleys. Lots of gravel, lots of pebbles. It's a relatively small valley and, if you're comfortable with gravel, can be easily cycled. The path …

The Oytal is particularly beautiful because the mountains are very close to the cycle path, a wonderful backdrop

A great tour with the e-bike up to the Käsealp.
If you are afraid of heights and have respect for the gravel/chips, you should push your bike downhill from the Käsalp and drive slowly.

Due to the fact that there were several mudslides at the beginning of August 2024, one of the main paths was washed away and a new …

A short morning tour, but one that is tough at the end. After a short climb in Oberstdorf, it is a leisurely ride almost to the end. On the last 2.5 km you have to cycle up 250m. (> 12% on average) Many e-bikers had to push. I managed it again!

The trip to the Oytal is one of my absolute favourites. A scenic dream and that even with glorious weather. It doesn't get any better than that.

A great route to the Oytalhaus. After that it's just a gravel road, difficult to drive on.

In the evening the rain 🌧 finally let up, the 🌞 appeared and we were able to do a little 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️ tour.
The Oytal, surrounded by mountains ⛰️ ⛰️ is fantastically beautiful and impressive. Free-ranging, curious 🐄 🐂 🐂 🐄 give the whole thing a calm, relaxed atmosphere 😍.
