This sight shocks me as a nature lover. Where once there was a dark green, dense coniferous forest, today there is one thing in particular: a bare tree landscape. A sight that not only hurts me as a resin fan.

August 30, 2023,[Harz] Sankt Andreasberg - HWN 155, 154

Today I was in the Harz again after a long time, because my stamp book of the Harz hiking pin still has a few empty fields 😁

The stamps were easy to get hold of as they were close to the (free) parking lot.

Well... if you want stamps, you have to go through it! Forest in transition. We probably won't see the new one anymore... 😏
At least the Rehberger Grabenhaus is open again!

Starting from the Dreibrode hiking car park, the third stamp point today is the Dreibrodestein. A pile of boulders. The forest here is only just starting to become as beautiful as the one around Lautenthal. On the other side of the road, I go to the Rehberger Grabenhaus, a pretty restaurant. On the way there, I pass the Haus Sonnenburg, …

Last tour for today in the constant rain. The inn was super cozy and the soups were delicious. Back across the parking lot to the second stamping point. Definitely a great route in the sunshine

Today we ventured a cautious round trip towards the Harz, first to see what was possible after our long illness. 😷
A 5 km tour north of St. Andreasberg seemed doable.

We started from the Dreibrode car park, first to the stone formation of the same name and HWN 154 (unfortunately the komoot started 300m too late.🙄)
We were lucky: …

September 30, 2021,Harz: Rehberger Grabenhaus & Dreibrodestein (HWN 4&5/222)

After the round around the Oderteich (komoot.de/tour/502983804) it should continue by car to St. Andreasberg. There was a short hike to the Rehberger Grabenhaus to satisfy the hunger. Nice historical building with a long and interesting history. But that was about it. Food disappointing and way too expensive. After all, there was stamp number 4 on the way to 222. …
