Wonderful to see the city from above. You drive through it as if you were flying low over an open-air museum, your legs turning here as if by themselves. Wonderful road surface.

This bridge is one of the most beautiful places on the entire route tour. The view is wonderful and the viaduct is simply an impressive structure. The descent is particularly recommended when you rush quickly over the bridge.

We took full advantage of the good weather on Whit Monday and got our bikes out for a spin. I was absolutely surprised by the route; I highly recommend it. We were almost exclusively on well-paved bike paths.

The cycle path between Hattingen and Essen is partially flooded. But it is passable.😊

Sarina, Johannes and Gerd rode the circuit via the Glückauf and Nordbahntrasse, Niederbergbahn and modified Ruhrtalradweg. After starting together, Bernd and two others from the Hattingen mountain and ski guild, Mägi and Bernd, took the shortcut from Velbert to Kidney.

My lovely, shady tour is so-so in autumn at 12 - 15°C with shorts 😅
Even the numerous tunnels weren't that cold.
The weather gods were at least kind enough not to shower me from above.

Nice circular tour mainly on tracks and cycle paths.
The transition to the Nordbahntrasse can still be optimized - next time.
I don't have to drive through Hösel all the time either 😂
You need lights on the Nordbahntrasse because there are tunnels one after the other.

Full throttle after more than five weeks of road cycling. Apparently, the back, shoulder, and neck muscles are stressed differently when mountain biking. I was pretty tense during the tour, especially towards the end.
The gusty headwind wasn't my friend either. It felt like it was always there.
No matter, I got up early and took advantage of the good …
