There are no rest stops along the way, so make sure you have a good breakfast before setting off.
In Brandenburg, the road is almost entirely paved, which unfortunately isn't the case for the Saxony-Anhalt side. There are sections of unpaved forest and field paths, which, when churned up and laden with heavy luggage, can pose a certain challenge.

Let's continue. Today, in beautiful, sunny autumn weather, we're still on the RE1 towards Bad Belzig. Through dense forests and over impressive 180-meter hills, which repeatedly offer views over the wide countryside. A detour to Rabenstein Castle ensues. The many climbs make your legs heavy, but there are also long, fast descents, so the arduous sections are quickly forgotten.

Another short loop through Wittenberg to the Luther and Melanchthon House and then back on the piste. Today it's time to cycle again against the cold and wind. Brrr.. There is a section that is covered in grit. It was very unpleasant to ride. Let's hope that this will be the surface for a better road surface. It goes through …

The day began with a tour of Wittenberg on the Elbe. Of course, the church door, to which Martin Luther attached his 95 theses, was also a must. Now we continued cycling, through forests and fields, meadows and small towns where almost everything was deserted. Today's destination was Bad Belzig, where it was really difficult to get a room.

Today's focus of our cycling trip was more on nature. After cycling from one World Heritage Site to the next between Dessau and Wittenberg, you can enjoy the somewhat quieter route of the European Cycle Route R1 beyond Wittenberg.

A perfect "Settlers of Catan" landscape with wood, roads, wheat, and knights (with one upgrade) 😉
At some point, we cross …

Short trip to Grandma for coffee and cake. Tour from Wittenberg via Eurovelo 7 to the Hohe Fläming. Tour simply summarized: Wet, soggy, cold. Kind of stupid when the water presses into your shoes from below.
But I don't want to whine now, driving in the rain also has its advantages. It's rare that you really don't meet a soul …

Day 9 on my Brandenburg tour, many kilometers, a broken charging station and contradictory distance information. Pictures of the tour are available on YouTube:
