The descent is long due to the cold and traffic jams.

Every year Octave is taken to the col after wintering in relative warmth. My first ascent of Tourmalet was with a 13 year old Louis and remembered every time im here for his perseverance and good humour!
Stage day of the Tour de France.
The atmosphere during the climb was fantastic, with the crowd cheering on, along with all the cyclists who came to watch the Tour.

Exactly one year later we climbed this Pyrenean colossus again, I had almost forgotten how hard it was 😅 19 km at 7.5% and the last one being the hardest to finish one off 😂 ... 1:40 more than last year... I'm still not in shape 🙈

The last and biggest challenge of this Challenge. The legend of the Tour de France, iconic Col du Tourmalet. The last months we really trained nicely for the Challenge. The Ardennes Triptych, the Verdon and surroundings and the Posbank or just around home. And now we know that our work was not done in vain

The descent of the Tourmalet in complete fog with 5 meters of visibility. Thanks to the gps for showing me the bends!
