The circular path is beautiful. You walk over the sand, the wooden walkway and then past the bathing area and there are plenty of opportunities to take a break. It's like a little vacation when you're there.

Wooden boardwalk at the Oderteich

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

This beautiful break bench with a view of the Oderteich is totally rustic. A widening of the path especially for the bank 😁.

This route is NOT recommended in bad weather! In the truest sense of the word: You'll be walking in the flood ditch!! Rubber boots instead of hiking boots!!!

This trail is absolutely stunning.

With the car safely parked, we set off from Torfhaus today. Not on the Goetheweg towards Brocken, but instead to Oderteich.

The path is rooty, rocky, shady, on wooden planks, and simply gorgeous. Of course, it gets crowded at Oderteich, but it clears up quite easily.

Since the weather app predicted ⛈️ from 3 p.m., it was clear that today it was going through the Harz National Park on Schuster's rap. And quite honestly.... the planner had done everything right for once. Can recommend this round to anyone who is vacationing around here without hesitation🥾👍 By the way... doomsday mood from 6 p.m

Today we took a beautiful little walk around the Oderteich and climbed the new Harz tower at Torfhaus. The rush of visitors was limited and the visibility was 🔝.

A beautiful, varied trail with plenty of provisions along the way in the form of raspberries and blackberries, as well as beautiful views.
I particularly liked the wooden plank path by the Oderteich lake and the first part of the Fairytale Trail.
There are benches along the way to rest.
There's a sandy beach at the Oderteich lake, and you …

The starting point of our fairytale hike to the Oderteich was Torfhaus, the highest settlement in Lower Saxony at about 800 m. Shortly after leaving Torfhaus towards Braunlage, on the right-hand side, the Märchenweg (Fairytale Trail) begins, winding through the wild nature of the Harz National Park. It has not been leveled by human hands and runs over stock and …
