Komoot recommends the Porta-Kanzel to me as a highlight in April. We implemented the recommendation today and walked for the most part along the 13th stage of the Weserberglandweg. From there, the trail led us first to Lügde and through the idyllic Emmerauenpark

What better way to end the first day of the week than with a short walk around Lake Stemmer?



Today we were treated to a honking natural spectacle: hundreds of wild geese flew directly overhead from the lake to the adjacent fields – a truly breathtaking moment.

The route led us past the remains of a former grinding mill (which was used in the past for grinding and sharpening tools and weapons), before the narrow path led us steadily
