It was one of the richest monasteries in Württemberg, the Adelberg Monastery, which was founded by the Premonstratensian Order during the time of Barbarossa.

In its heyday before the Reformation, it included ten villages, 19 hamlets, 37 farms, 22 mills and an incredible 17 parish churches.

For this tour we went 🌞 today with 🚈🚆 train and 🚌 bus via Esslingen and Göppingen to Adelberg to the Zachersmühle.
Arrived at Zachersmühle despite changing trains twice 🚶‍♂️ according to the timetable.
At the ⛪Kloster Adelberg I left the tour to buy something at the 🥨baker in Adelberg.
In Oberwälden I left the tour again …
