Cala Turqueta

Highlight • Beach

Cala Turqueta is one of the most famous coves in Menorca. Its name comes from the fact that it was the beach where the Turks landed when they arrived on the island.

Macarella Cove

Highlight • Beach

Escorted by a wonderful typically Mediterranean pine forest, is one of the most famous beaches in Menorca. With turquoise and transparent water, together with white sand, Cala Macarella is one of the main postcards of the island.

A nice hike to bays that invite you to swim. Even if you meet a lot of people in bathing shoes ... the path should not be underestimated: you should put on sturdy shoes and then just enjoy the landscape and views.

Today we traveled with our hiking group (25 people) and our two guides to the south of the island to hike stages 12 & 13 of the Cami de Cavalls 🎒🥾. We started in the Son Xoriguer Nature Park and hiked mostly along the coastline until we reached the two wide beaches of Son Saura. Here we took our first …

The four of us take bus 52 tmsa.es/de/linea/652 to Cala Galdana. Today we go along the beautiful coast. The first section with pine trees providing some shade is particularly good. The last third is very sunny and I think it might be better to come here in April 😉

Today medium stage.
Mostly sunny weather, swimming in the beautiful Cala Son Saura.
The beauty of Cala Turqueta and Cala Macarella is unforgettable.

Again, a perfect route to stop at any point and swim in beautiful bays. For this reason, I chose this stage to be a little shorter.

Cala en Bosc has a beautiful harbor with many restaurants.

Very beautiful coastal trail with lots of beaches with turquoise water.
Today we took the bus to the starting point.

We started at Playa Son Xoriguer.
The route today ran along beautiful paths along the coast.
It went up and down again and again on beautiful sand and stone paths.
But we also came directly to very beautiful bathing bays.
Luckily we didn't have to be in a certain place at …

It was a bit hazy today. Not so great for photos 🤗There was a strong wind on the 10 km coastal stretch. We took a few alternative routes back. We enjoyed the (shortened) stage. We skipped the paved sections. Since we have to walk each way there and back, we'll stick to the scenic paths.
