During a tour of the Municipal Cave, you'll be immersed in the history of Valkenburg aan de Geul. Discover the cave's origins and the animals that lived there millions of years ago. The "Gemeentegrot" (Community Cave) is located at the foot of the Cauberg hill, and its tunnels extend for up to 50 km. Evidence suggests that the Romans began quarrying marlstone here. It can be visited by train or on foot. The Christmas market is one of the largest underground markets in Europe and well worth seeing.

From this vantage point, you have a panoramic view of Gulpen and the surrounding hilly landscape of South Limburg. The Geul River winds through the valley, surrounded by green meadows, orchards, and characteristic Limburg villages.

Open 365 days a year, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Very good food, very friendly service despite the busy times.

Take a seat on this bench and let the Limburg landscape sink in. From here, you have a panoramic view of rolling hills, green fields, and scattered farms. It's the perfect moment to pause, enjoy the silence, and perhaps even take a photo of the picturesque surroundings.

The Wilhelminatoren is a lookout tower located on the Vaalserberg, the highest point in the Netherlands, near the Drielandenpunt (three-country point) near Vaals. The current tower, opened in 2011, is 35 meters high and offers panoramic views of the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. Visitors can reach the top by stairs or elevator, where a glass floor provides an extra spectacular experience.

I like riding up there, but with regular bikes I would only ride down that path.
