The castle is a unique moated castle, the western part of which has been exposed, including part of the moats. The castle consisted of a main keep containing buildings, possibly in the form of a square or rectangular residential tower. The corn mill ‘De Twee Gebroeders’ is still in operation weekly for grinding organic flour. Since 2016, the mill has started a true revival, with the mill (just like in the old days) being completely equipped as a ‘modern wind flour factory’. The church building was put into use in the 13th century. The tower was built in the 15th century. In the 18th century, the nave was completely rebuilt, during which the choir was also lowered. In 1944, the church tower was badly damaged. In 1955, the tower was restored.

The De Twee Gebroeders mill is a corn mill on the Maasdijk in the North Brabant town of Wijk en Aalburg. It is a round stone smock mill from 1872. In 1880 a steam engine was placed in an outbuilding to be able to grind when there was no wind. The mill functioned as a bark mill for the leather industry, among other things.
