De Roosdonck Mill is a beautiful grain mill dating from 1884 and one of the iconic landmarks in the Nuenen landscape. Vincent van Gogh painted this mill several times during his Nuenen period, making it even more famous. The mill stands on a slight rise and contrasts beautifully with the surrounding open fields—a perfect spot to stop for a photo, especially in bright light. De Roosdonck still turns regularly and is clearly visible from the surrounding footpaths.

St. Clement's Church stands in the heart of Gerwen's old village center and is one of the oldest churches in the region. The oldest part dates back to the 12th century and still retains distinct Romanesque features, later supplemented by Gothic extensions. The tall tower and the surrounding square with mature trees give it an almost timeless character. The Stiphoutse Bossen (Stiphout Forests) are a beautiful nature reserve between Helmond, Mierlo, and Nuenen. You'll find a variety of forests, heathlands, and fens. The Witte Ven and Galgenven areas are particularly lovely for walking and photography. In summer, the heathlands are at their most beautiful, and in autumn, the forests turn golden yellow.
