The little bridge is not much these days. It was the former border between Brabant and Holland, where tolls were collected. This allowed the then lord Willem van Duvenvoorde to build Strijen Castle (Slottebosse tower).

This is the place at the small suspension bridge, here you can relax.

Museum de Roos is located in a building from the 16th, possibly 17th century. The museum is dedicated to the history of Geertruidenberg and the centres of Raamsdonk and Raamsdonksveer, with which it forms one municipality. Geertruidenberg was the first city in Holland to receive city rights in 1213. Models, prints and charters provide an image of the development of the city. Themes covered in the museum include poet Juliana de Lannoy, Vice-admiral Zoutman, 16th century Secco's, Bergen painters and the 14th century Sword of Geertruidenberg.
