Beautiful stretch along the banks of the Dommel

The statue of Coen Dillen is located on the east side of the PSV stadium. This statue commemorates the legendary PSV striker, known for his record of 43 goals in a single season (1956-1957), and is an important symbol of the club. The entrance to the south side of the Philips Stadium is also named after him: the Coen Dillen Promenade. In 2000, the Coen Dillen Foundation was established, which annually awards the Coen Dillen Trophy to the top scorers in youth football in North Brabant.

The Genneper Watermill is one of the oldest and most characteristic mills in Eindhoven. The mill was mentioned as early as 1249 and stands along the Dommel River in the green Genneper Parken. After being destroyed during the Eighty Years' War, it was rebuilt in 1587. For centuries, grain was ground here, oil was pressed, and wool was felted. The mill is best known because Vincent van Gogh painted it several times during his stay in Nuenen. Today, the mill still operates with a single waterwheel and is a national monument. On certain days, you can visit the inside and buy organic flour in the small mill shop. A historic and photogenic spot surrounded by nature, the perfect resting place during a walk through the Genneper Parken.
