This is probably my favorite spot in the entire waterland. This bridge is really super beautiful and the whole road to or from Amsterdam is so wonderfully quiet. Note: It is narrow in some parts and there is always gravel on the road

The provinces of North Holland, South Holland and Utrecht meet between De Kwakel in North Holland and Vrouwenakker in South Holland, on the border with Utrecht. To be precise, the three-province point is in the middle of the Amstel. The "Three province pole" was designed by students of the Ashram College, together with the Metal Trade School Nieuwkoop.

The inner ring of the round hoop has just been completely re-raised and provided with new asphalt. Furthermore, be careful for cars and tractors, the local residents are not happy with the number of cyclists and therefore do not cooperate on the road!

The Riekermolen is a polder windmill. The windmill originally stood in the Riekerpolder south of the village of Sloten near Amsterdam. The mill, which dates back to 1636, had to be demolished in 1956 due to the dredging of the Riekerpolder for the expansion of the Nieuwe Meer and was moved to the Kalfjeslaan on the Amstel in 1961.

The Amstel is always a good route to leave Amsterdam. Please note that it can be busier on summer days and weekends, even with motorized traffic. That does not alter the fact that this stretch of road can be beautiful at the right times.
