The Canalone Bobbio is one of the most challenging routes to reach the summit of Mount Resegone. It is a path equipped with ropes and chains, suitable only for expert hikers. Main features: Difficulty: Very challenging, with exposed sections and the possibility of falling rocks. Recommended equipment: Via ferrata helmet, hiking boots and, in winter, crampons. Route: The path starts from Piani d'Erna and crosses the Selletta di Bobbio, with a steep climb between rocks and scree. Winter conditions: In winter, the canal can be snow-covered and has slopes between 40° and 45°, making it ideal for those who want to practice snow mountaineering. Safety: Recently, the Canalone Bobbio has been the scene of fatal accidents, with hikers losing their lives due to accidental falls4.
