The Revine lakes are of glacial origin. They formed after the retreat of the Piave Glacier, leaving a valley filled with a single lake. This lake was later divided into two bodies of water due to silting and land reclamation.

Pianezze is a locality in the municipality of Valdobbiadene that rises on the southern slope of Mount Cesen, at an altitude of about 1070 meters, along the main road that climbs towards the ridge of the Treviso Prealps. Here there are some restaurants, an adventure park and the International Donor Temple, wanted by a local group of Avisino managers and completed in 1979. Between the end of the 60s and the mid 80s, Pianezze was one of the most popular winter destinations in Eastern Veneto, with a chairlift that led from here to Mount Barbaria. Today, portals, pylons and pulleys that for over forty years have "married" with the greenery that surrounds them are still evidence of those facilities.
