The White Horse of Pisogne is an iconic statue that began as an allegorical float for Carnival. Originally made of iron and papier-mâché, with wooden wheels, the float represented the Trojan Horse and was used in parades, with children climbing in and out of its belly. After being damaged and thrown into the lake, it was recovered and restored, becoming a symbol of Pisogne.

The small church of San Defendente sits perched on a rocky outcrop high above Lake Iseo. From here, a breathtaking panoramic view opens up over the lake, the Corna Trentapassi, and the surrounding mountains. Especially at sunrise or sunset, the scenery transforms into a magical play of light – a perfect place to linger, marvel, and take photos. The short, but at times steep, climb is more than rewarded by the view. Several benches and picnic tables next to the church invite you to rest. Surrounded by nature, with expansive views of the water and mountains, this spot is a true highlight of any hike on Lake Iseo.
