This basilica, built on a structure dating back to the 12th century and gradually expanded over the centuries, reached its final structure in the 16th/17th centuries. It is considered one of the most interesting churches in the entire diocese, rivaling the cathedral and the city's basilicas in richness and beauty. It contains numerous works of art, from Lombard, Italian, and Central European artists. With three naves, divided by four imposing polylobed pillars, it features splendid Baroque frescoed vaults, capable of astonishing and captivating not only the faithful but also the lay visitor. The large hexagonal bell tower, with its unique and distinctive onion dome, completes its structure. It is worth taking the time for a prolonged and attentive visit.

PLEASE NOTE!!! Starting June 2025, parking at Forcella is subject to a fee. A small fee of €3 will be charged for parking. The goal is to use the proceeds to maintain Via Cadorna (this is what the municipality has declared. Whether this is fair or not, I'll leave it to others to decide), the main thoroughfare leading to Forcella.

The Church of San Martino is a Catholic place of worship located in Leffe, in the province of Bergamo. It is part of the vicariate of Gandino and is dedicated to San Martino di Tours. History and characteristics: Ancient origins: Tradition has it that the church already existed in 774, during the Frankish occupation, although there are no certain documents to confirm this. First official citation: It appears in the municipal statutes of Leffe of 1263. Visit of San Carlo Borromeo: In 1575, the archbishop of Milan visited the church and ordered some changes to improve its decor. Reconstruction: In 1616, the original building was demolished and rebuilt. The works were completed in 1636, after an interruption due to the plague of 1630. Consecration: The church was consecrated in 1668. Architecture: It has a simple façade with a decorated portal and a single nave with side chapels

The Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli is located in Valpiana, in the municipality of Gandino, province of Bergamo. History and characteristics: Construction: Built in the early 1950s on the initiative of the parish priest Monsignor Giovanni Maconi. Architecture: Stone facade, with a large round arch and a fresco depicting the Madonna among the angels. Altar: Consecrated in 1954 by Monsignor Giuseppe Maggi, missionary and prisoner in China. Frescoes: Work of Vincenzo Ghirardelli (altarpiece) and Remigio Colombi (external fresco). Location: Located on a small hill above the Valpiana road, with a panoramic view

The Pozza dei Sette Termini is a hiking point of interest located at 1309 meters above sea level in Val Gandino, in the province of Bergamo. It can be reached via the CAI 544B trail, which starts from the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli in Valpiana. It is an ideal place for a break during an excursion in the area.
