The beautiful view alone is worth the tour 👍. If you drive from Cuxhaven to Ottendorf, you will pass the production halls of Winergy Cuxhaven. Here you can see the huge blades for the wind turbines up close 👍.

Nice little observation tower from which you can have a nice view of the Elbe. At the foot there is a small information center about dike construction.

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on or next to the dike on the entire route between the fat Berta and Otterndorf. This even applies to dogs in a bike trailer, in a bag... it's understandable, but with dogs you have to go about 20 km onto the country road and you can't catch a glimpse of the sea. That was a big disappointment for us.

If you ride the Elbe cycle path from Cuxhaven to Otterndorf, you will pass fat Berta. There is also a restaurant with a view of the Elbe.
