The bridges and locks are very nice changes. The animals that you can see in the morning or in the evening when all the boats have left are impressive. We saw snakes and beavers. In addition, of course, swans and other water birds and many fish.

A wonderful hike around the Mönchsteich, if you hike normally, the tour takes about 1 1/2 hours. There is also an American restaurant at the parking lot at the start of the hike.

If you cycle towards Lauenburg in the sunshine around noon, the sun is mostly from the front. It couldn't be better!
