Lake Lütauer See is just one of many lakes in this area; certainly one of the most beautiful. A hiking trail leads almost entirely around it; there's a swimming area and a jetty from which you can easily access the very clear water.

The Lütauer See is another pearl of the Möllner chain of lakes: If you follow the shore of the Schmalsee, you will come to the Lütauer See at its southern tip.
The "Rolandseck" bathing area is not only for swimming on warm days - it is an ideal bathing stop for all hikers who want to continue their journey to the Drüsensee and the Hellbachtal.

You can get a wonderful view of the wooded banks from the wide jetty that leads far out onto the lake. There is also a covered rest area here that invites you to take a break from hiking.

On the southern shore of the Lütauer See, in turn, is the popular summer and winter campsite. It is an ideal starting point to enjoy the landscape of the Lauenburg Lakes Nature Park and to take advantage of the offers of the nearby Eulenspiegel town of Mölln.

A beautiful lake surrounded by forests, which, along with Lake Schmalsee, can be easily circumnavigated from Mölln. Always worth a visit in autumn, when the leaves turn beautiful reds, reminiscent of "Indian Summer." The only drawback is the short stretch along the road past the campsite, but fortunately, it's relatively short.

The town of Mölln owns a total of six smaller lakes. Including the connecting waterways, the total surface area is approximately 135 hectares. Fishing rights for all of these lakes have been leased to the Mölln Sports Fishing Association since 1971.

The names of the lakes are: Lütauer See, Schmalsee, Hegesee, Schulsee, Stadtsee, and Ziegelsee. The western shore of Ziegelsee is formed by the Elbe-Lübeck Canal. The latter three lakes are therefore also accessible by water (from the Baltic Sea near Lübeck or from Lauenburg on the Elbe).

All of Mölln's waters are relatively shallow lakes with water depths rarely exceeding 6 meters. Only Lüttauer See has depths of up to 17 meters. Steep cliffs or "mountains or banks" are therefore rare. All fishing spots are specially marked, and fishing is permitted only from these locations. Ziegelsee, Stadtsee and Schulsee can hardly be fished from the shore 🐟🐟
