To commemorate the 600th anniversary of Eulenspiegel's death, the Mölln sculptor Karlheinz Goedtke created the bronze figure of the jester in 1950 to crown the fountain next to Kirchberg. This popular depiction of the jester has become a symbol of the town. Goedtke also created the bronze relief of the poet George Bernard Shaw next to the fountain. Shaw was named an honorary Eulenspiegel by the town in 1950. However, he misunderstood Mölln's offer and declared himself an "honorary citizen," which the town council subsequently approved. People often meet at the Eulenspiegel fountain for a souvenir photo. The mischievous figure is particularly polished in two places – there's a reason for this: Anyone who rubs Till's thumb and toe simultaneously while making a wish will be lucky. All the buildings around the market square are worth seeing.

The town hall, the Nicolai Church, the Eulenspiegel Fountain and of course the Eulenspiegel Museum are arranged in one square in the heart of the old town. Very atmospheric place!

The old town hall of Mölln was built from 1373 in the brick Gothic style. In addition to the Lübeck town hall, it is the only Gothic town hall in Schleswig-Holstein.

There is also the most famous Eulenspeiegel monument with the rubbed thumb.

The bridges and locks are very nice changes. The animals that you can see in the morning or in the evening when all the boats have left are impressive. We saw snakes and beavers. In addition, of course, swans and other water birds and many fish.
