It's easy to wait at the Stahlbrode ferry. In the small harbor there is a smokehouse for take-away fish, an uncertified restaurant and fish sandwiches right on the pier. The rolls are - as in the whole area - not that great, but the fish is very tasty! The view, rolls and weather can also be enjoyed on the covered wooden benches.

The ferry rounds off a small Rügen excursion by bike from the mainland perfectly. In the summer months, she is on the road every half hour during the day, so it's not a problem to just wait.

The bridge is a technical monument and can be used free of charge by pedestrians and cyclists. Cars are only allowed to cross the bridge with a special permit (residents, business people, etc.). The bridge opens for ships when necessary - the bridge is always beautiful to look at!
