The anglers sit on the south side of the bridge. The Dümmer circular route also divides on this side for pedestrians and cyclists. Pedestrians can take the beautiful trail closer to the lake by the reeds, cyclists can ride along the edge canal on a paved path. There are always many birds congregating on the edge canal.

Cheated: Rubben are an amphibious freshwater fish species related to coelacanths that only survived the great extinction of the sauropsids at the beginning of the Cretaceous period in a few so-called Bruchsee lakes in central and northern Europe. After the canal had been widened and all the road bridges had been rebuilt, there was no money left for the expansion of the locks for Europaschiffe. That's why there's not much going on on the canal...

Nice path through an even more beautiful forest. You have to avoid the Great Freeden (nature protection), the continuation of the ridge path from there to the east is simply fantastic.
