This 45-meter-long, covered timber-framed bridge on Gartenstrasse connects the city center with Havelpark on the Siggelhavel river. Built in 1996, it is constructed of weather-resistant Douglas fir, with a walkway made of thick oak planks. The bridge offers a beautiful view and is easily accessible by bicycle.

It's very difficult for paddlers to portage here. There's no trolley. We portaged the boat and placed it in the overflow channel below the weir. However, it was very difficult to reach and arduous.

Paddlers are allowed to pass the motorboats and park at the lock entrance. The lock operator will then signal when they are permitted to enter.

A beautiful little church. Right next door is a village museum—the old fire station—and an information board about the village's history.

At this point, there is not only a great view of the lake or a swimming area, but you also cross the state borders of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Brandenburg.
