The beautiful Nescio Bridge, named after the Dutch writer Nescio, is a curved suspension bridge and one of the longest bicycle and pedestrian bridges in the Netherlands. You simply must see and cross it at least once... it remains a special experience, every time!

Today, the fort is a popular wedding venue and a venue for events, company outings, business lunches, and parties. On Sundays, coffee is available for day-trippers and other visitors, and you can enjoy a snack, a drink, or lunch there. In addition, informative guided tours and historical walks are regularly scheduled, allowing you to travel back in time and learn all about Fort Diemerdam and the Amsterdam Defense Line.

From this point you have a beautiful view of the mill and the polder. If you look closely you can see old patterns of peat extraction in the polder. The Hoekermolen was built in 1874 on the site of an earlier mill, which burned down that year after lightning struck. The mill was restored around 1963. In 2005/2006 the mill was thoroughly restored, with a longer screw being installed to also cope with the lowered polder level. (source Wikipedia)

Vreeland is a nice little village with a cute village center on the Vecht. There are 3 nice restaurants. Hendrik en Vrouw Daalder (with terrace) are excellent places to have lunch. De Nederlanden has a star.

A car-free route surrounded by lush greenery, with occasional sightings of sheep grazing nearby. It's not ideal for large groups on racing bikes or peak cycling days due to its narrowness.
