This bridge ensures that you can reach the other side dry-footed. Information about the Mark: Until Breda, this watercourse is usually called Bovenmark. It is a stream and downstream a river, flowing through the provinces of Antwerp (Belgium) and North Brabant (Netherlands). The Mark finds its way through the spacious landscape to Breda where it ends in the canal of Breda near the street Boeimeersingel.

Since 1973, the Brabantse Delta water board has been the proud owner of this historic country estate on the south side of Breda. The estate dates from the fifteenth century and consists of a fairytale castle surrounded by three special gardens and an orchard. In mid-2010, the water board moved into the new office building on the estate. The beautiful gardens at the castle are worth a visit. Inspired by the fashion of that time, the estate features gardens from France, England and Germany.
