A very tough climb. I first tried the blue alpine trail, but then turned back because the route was a bit unclear to me. I didn't see the two hikers in front of me. I then climbed up and down the "slightly easier" paths.

The Zamangspitze can be reached via three routes: a via ferrata (for experienced climbers), a very steep but direct ascent (strenuous but doable), or a moderate, long climb. Regardless of the gentle path, it's worth it! A truly magnificent view awaits you!

The Litz Dam near the Gieslaalpe in Silbertal was built in 1967 as a result of a violent mudslide near the Bärenalpe in 1965. Since then, the Litz Dam has held back the rubble and rock during floods.
