Very beautiful forest roads but with some double-digit climbs

The Laganrun biotope is part of a larger wetland system located on the ridge separating the Cembra Valley from the Adige Valley. It is a characteristic feature of the landscape as well as being of considerable scientific and naturalistic importance. There was once a lake here, which gradually became marshy and then slowly transformed into a peat bog. Now, this peat bog is home to numerous rare species, including a water beetle, discovered here for the first time, which has been named Agabus lagabrunensis to emphasize the importance of this site.

The Roccolo del Sauch, in the Cembra Valley, is an ancient system for capturing birds. It is a vegetal construction of beech and fir trees suitably intertwined and pruned, so as to create a practicable tunnel with a grassy clearing in the center. After a large number of birds had landed in the space at the center of the tunnel, the scarecrow was waved from the hut preceded by the birdcatcher's whistle. The horizontal escape took the birds straight towards an almost invisible net stretched between the arches of the tunnel.

Beautiful lake along the path that leads to Monte Corona. It's a bit wild, so there are no crowbars or other places to take a break, but it's still pretty cool.
