Dirt bike path that passes under the bridge over the Brembo River Roncola (BG)

The "Martin Lutero" park in Trucca is a green area of the city of Bergamo, easily reachable on foot from the Bergamo Ospedale train station. It is located within the Villaggio degli Sposi neighborhood, on the border with the municipality of Treviolo and near the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital. I recommend it for a nice walk.

Simple route suitable for people of all ages.

The building is very simple, surrounded by a parvis on three sides, preceded by a small portico supported by four square-section pillars. Internally, the church is made up of a single nave with walls divided by pilasters, with openings for altars and panels. The ceiling is flat and divided into squares. On the sides it has four rooms for altars: in the first two there are the altars dedicated to the Madonna del Rosario and the Sacred Heart. The baptismal font is located in the third chapel on the left. The presbytery is raised by three steps with respect to the floor of the nave.

1931 - 1959 The sacred building of Roncola, called vicinia until 1931, the year of the creation of the autonomous Vicariate, in 1956 became a parish church with the erection of the parish and the consecration by the bishop Msgr. Giuseppe Piazzi on October 16, 1959.

1773 - XVIII century In the hamlet of Roncola di Treviolo, located on the side that descends towards the left bank of the Brembo river, since 1773 there was a chapel in which the Eucharist began to be preserved. 1922 - 1923 The Mazzoleni di Curno construction company began construction of the current church. The blessing and the laying of the first stone was carried out by the archpriest of Lallio, Don Pietro Dolci on the occasion of the Triduum of the Dead on 11 March 1922 and after this official ceremony the construction of the church continued rapidly. On 16 September 1923, on the occasion of the patronal festivities celebrated in Treviolo, the solemn blessing of the building was carried out, given by the bishops Pietro Calchi Novati, ordinary of Bobbio and Giuseppe Rovetta.
