6月 25, 2025, View of the Bletterbach Gorge
Interesting because you can see all the rock layers for a few hundred meters in height.

7月 5, 2024, Passo di Lavazè
The 1808m high Passo di Lavazè offers the opportunity for easy hikes. There is a short circular route around the lake, right at the pass, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the nearby and mighty Latemaar mountain rocks.

The summit of the Schwarzhorn is really a very worthwhile destination. The panoramic view alone makes up for the effort of the climb!😊

8月 23, 2023, Passo di Lavazè
The Lavazè pass, at an altitude of 1,807 metres, connects the Fiemme valley in Trentino with the Ega valley in Alto Adige. This area is renowned for Nordic skiing, with around 80 meters of trails dedicated to cross-country skiing. The lake is calm and the views are fantastic. For running, the pass offers easy, well-maintained trails. Even if it gets crowded, there are many routes available and as you get further away, you will find fewer people. You have several options of routes, both flat and uphill.

8月 9, 2022, Passo di Lavazè
Easily accessible by car, it allows relaxation for the whole family. There is a beautiful lake where you can also fish and is the starting point for many excursions suitable for all levels of preparation. For some years there has been a track entirely dedicated to roller skis, which in winter becomes a cross-country skiing circuit.

It is beautiful to climb it from Cavalese, the red porphyry rocks at the end give the pass a very special atmosphere. The climb has some nice tough sections.

Excellent refreshment point when returning from excursions. Located right next to the parking lot at Passo Oclini, it offers refuge in case of bad weather and rest in all other situations.

11月 16, 2020, Schwarzhorn (Corno Nero) Summit
Very beautiful and relatively short climb. The route is very steep from the reservoir to the saddle in front of the summit. Path composed of terrain that was initially wooded (presence of roots) and then rocky, at times quite exposed. From the summit you can descend from the same ascent route (1h 30' to go up, 1h to go down), or by extending a little you can go down to Malga Cugola, and then return to Passo Oclini (from the summit to the pass 3h 30 ' approximately, for a total of approximately 5 hours of excursion). The climb is practicable even in the event of light snowfall, but be careful not to lose the traces of the path, which are easily hidden.

Modern, renovated hotel with a great SPA area. We particularly liked the unobtrusive but very personable nature of the staff. The breakfast was very good, dinner was star level.

Easy but beautiful hike with plenty of parking space. If you want you can take the Weißhorn with you. Both white and black horn are suitable for children.

8月 11, 2020, Schwarzhorn (Corno Nero) Summit
This mountain offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. The Schwarzhorn is a freely rising mountain, which is connected in the north via the Jochgrimm with the somewhat lower Weißhorn 2317 m. Two short ridge foothills lead to the northeast to the Lavazèjoch and to the southeast into the Val di Gambis, behind which the Zanggen rises. To the south, the mountain structure drops into the Fiemme Valley near Cavalese. A relatively long ridge, which itself has a few insignificant elevations, leads first to the southwest, later to the west into the area of the San Lugano saddle. The political border between South Tyrol and Trentino runs in a north-east-south-west direction over the summit. The South Tyrolean side belongs to the municipality of Aldein, the Trentino to the municipality of Ville di Fiemme.

Especially in winter when there is snow a nice, steep, appealing tour along one degree. You don't notice much of the mountain pines and scree in winter, and you even make better progress than in summer. But you should at least have Grödel with you. It's actually a shame that the Schwarzhorn doesn't enjoy the Weisshorn's attention. A good hour of ascent and a lot less if you pull straight down over the snow.

It's not so nice at the apex, but a short detour west towards Jochgrimm offers great views! The Lavazé is surrounded by many other passes and can therefore be easily combined. For example with the Manghen in the south or the Reiterjoch (Alpe die Pampeago) in the east. At the back it becomes steep on both sides, especially on the south approach.
