Fara Olivana con Sola is a small village in the Bergamo plain, of Lombard origin, characterized by a rural setting surrounded by cultivated fields and waterways. Among the main points of interest are the Church of Santo Stefano, one of the oldest in the area, and the archaeological site with a Lombard necropolis discovered during recent excavations. RUBINI PALACE The Rubini Palace was built in 1845 to the design of the architect Pier Antonio Pagnoncelli of Begamo, as a residence for the tenor Giovan Battista Rubini and his wife, the soprano Adelaide Comelli. Nowadays, the entire ground floor of the palace is dedicated to the Rubini Museum: the billiard room, which keeps the memories of the family alive; the pirate room, which houses the memories of the opera singer; the dining room and the old dining room. Stuccoes embellish the courtyard and depict the faces of famous people admired by Rubini himself.
