The parish church of St. Nicholas in Spangdahlem was built in 1874/75 according to plans by the architect Heinrich Bruck from Wittlich. The neo-Gothic hall building is made of red sandstone, a building material typical for the region. The use of hewn red sandstone gives the church its characteristic appearance.
