The Parchim Lock is a lock on the Müritz-Elde waterway in Parchim. It is not operated by a lock keeper, but rather by the individual passing through, meaning it is a self-service lock.

In the 1990s, this was an alternative to the swimming pool opposite. It even had a slide, walkways, and a kiosk (it's on a hillside; the foundations are still visible today). The Eichberg, a lawn for sunbathing, and the man-made sandy beach are still inviting for swimming.

The source here is located in the northern part of the Wockersee and west of the Wocker tributary.

Iron oxide was found deposited at this spring. This can be seen in the pipe and the stones, which have a reddish color. However, there is so little that it is not a mineral spring. The measurement of the nitrate content showed a low value, so the water quality is good. The pH value showed a value between and 8. This is an alkaline value. Therefore, this spring can be described as an alkaline spring.

Long at the top is more fun, but long at the bottom is also a nice route
