The Warnow River is only navigable as far as Vorbeck. Beyond that point, the river is closed to navigation until Zaschendorf. There are two fish ladders between Augustenhof and Vorbeck.

The 15th-century Gothic brick church is a rectangular hall building with pointed arch windows. The western brick tower stands on a fieldstone base and features a half-timbered structure and a pyramidal spire. Since 1996, the church, which had long been in a state of disrepair, has been gradually renovated.

The brick hall church was built in the 17th century as an emergency church after the Thirty Years' War. In the 1980s, the church collapsed during a storm. It was renovated in 1991 and consecrated in 1993.
