    Hiking

The Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame is the largest church in the city, with its eighty meters long. Built in the 12th century, it is one of the last great churches of Romanesque Burgundy, inspired by the abbey church of Cluny III and the cathedral of Autun. Seat of a chapter of canons under the Ancien Régime, it is an important place of pilgrimage where travelers come to venerate a statue depicting the majestic Virgin (circa 1200), known as the Black Madonna

The church, built in the 12th century, is one of the great Cluniac Romanesque churches.
After a fire in the 13th century, it was restored in the Gothic style, and later Renaissance elements were added (de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Notre-Dame_(Beaune))
An impressive cathedral that should not be missed when visiting Beaune.
The stained glass windows (from the 19th/20th century) are worth seeing. In the choir area, carpets from the year 1500 are on display, showing scenes from the life of Mary.
