Block 01 of the Eben-Emael fortress. This is located outside the fort but is linked with a bunker and underground passage to the fort. This whole was supposed to protect the Locks of Ternaaien and is therefore directed towards the Maas side. Blocks were equipped with an anti-tank gun, lights and weapons. Due to its location, it is very popular today with walkers because of the view of the Locks of Ternaaien, the Albert Canal and the Maas.
