One of the most ingenious views of the Bodetal awaits you at the Schöneburg refuge. High above Altenbrak, the view extends far east into the valley. You can reach the refuge from Altenbrak from the fork of the Hexen-Stieg, from the riding stables at the dam or from the Stemberghaus. The climb from Altenbrak is the most difficult approach. There is also a stamp of the Harz hiking pin here as a reward.
