If you want to discover Hildesheim on your own, follow the rose paving stones used in the pavement. The roses will show you the way to numerous sights: From the historic market place with the famous Knochenhauer-Amtshaus, you will pass churches and historic buildings passing the Fachwerkviertel. Follow the route over the green Kehrwiederwall and through romantic lanes to the UNESCO World Heritage churches Mariendom and St. Michaelis. The rose route is divided into different sections, which can be individually combined with each other. It takes about four hours for the entire route. For a refreshment along the way, there are small cafes and cozy restaurants, where the rose route passes by. Of course, the way can also be shortened if necessary. An accompanying leaflet on the rose route provides explanatory information about all stations and contains a city map with detailed directions. The brochure is available for two euros from tourist-information Hildesheim.
