The B-Werk is buried and covered by forest soil, a blackboard gives information about it.

The path to the former fortification of the west wall is beautiful. And the information board is great. Among other things, one learns that after the end of the war two people in search of food and the bare essentials for life died here when gas from flame thrower gas exploded.

The B-Werk was the largest type of bunker on the West Wall. There were a total of 32 of these B-Werks spread over the 600 kilometers of the West Wall. 14 of these were located along the 10 kilometers between Oberotterbach and Schaidt to secure the Weissenburg depression. This was therefore without a doubt the central section of the entire West Wall.
The current existence and experience of the West Wall in the southern Palatinate region is a paradox. The most heavily fortified section with the 14 B-Werks was thoroughly blown up and removed immediately after the end of the war.

As a result, the former bunker is only recognizable as a "hill".
