In addition to the village church Gölsdorf is a visible from the street black sarcophagus, which is pointed to the road. This is a cenotaph for Captain Franz Johann Ludwig Alberthal (1778-1813). He fell in the battle of Dennewitz. The design for the cenotaph is by Karl Friedrich Schinkel. The year of the installation is unknown, it is supposed to have been erected between 1820 and 1860. On the front panel there is a dedication, on the sides coat of arms with iron cross.
